About
Born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka - The Pearl of Indian Ocean in 1984 I grew up in the downtown area. I went to local elementary and high schools. During that time I played organized sports including soccer, cricket and badminton. In 2003 I graduated High-School and attended University of Moratuwa for Engineering. I graduated in 2008 with an Honors degree, MEng Level, in Civil Engineering. I Joined University of Southampton in 2009 for a PhD in Civil Engineering, specializing in the climate change impacts on Transport infrastructure slopes.
During my graduate school studies I have had the opportunity to work with Highways Agency UK and in Oxford along Newbury Motorway. I have also had the opportunity to participate at many international conferences and workshops including TRA 2010 in Brussels, ERA Net -Road Climate change in Cologne, at ICE in London England in 2009 & 2010 and Climates and Hazards, Durham 2010.
I currently live in International Maritime City Southampton, England and looking forward to live and work in at least one country in each continent in future (Except Antarctica :)).
